Every act of kindness matters.
Let's hear the voice of the voiceless.
Every act of kindness matters.
Let's hear the voice of the voiceless.
At Maitri Bhavna our mission is to reduce suffering of animals.
We work on projects which deliver impact towards our mission.
We collaborate with partner organisations to deliver more.
Our team is a highly capable one, with compassion towards animals, and who go the extra mile to reduce their suffering.
Our current projects include:
1. Close the Loop Programme
2. Vaccination Programme
3. Humane Ed Programme
4. Support and Guide
5. Equine Welfare (Horses Project) - Coming Soon
'Close the Loop' means that in each locality we once and for all ensure that all mother dogs are sterilised, puppies vaccinated, and then these puppies are sterilised.
This ensures that atleast in that locality we reduce suffering of unwanted pregnancies in dogs. If pups are born, we ensure they do not suffer due to diseases, so we vaccinate them.
We work with caregivers, we call them 'farishtas', who take care of the street dogs in their locality. They ensure that the sterilisation and vaccination is done in a humane manner, with utmost compassion and care.
With this programme we also ensure that we do not overload the animal care shelters and vets, so they can take care of more animals.
We believe each puppy on the street has as much right to live a healthy life as a human baby does.
The life of a pup on the street is full of risks of injury due to vehicles or diseases due to unhygienic surroundings. Sometimes the mother dog is missing or is too malnourished to provide nutrition and boost immunity of the pup.
We run our Vaccination Programmes to give the pups a fighting chance to live. To reduce their suffering.
We aim to educate children at a young age on how to understand dog behaviour. We teach them how to be safe from rabies, and reduce risk of dog bites. We create compassion in their young hearts so they grow up to be the change. The change towards a compassionate society which lives in harmony with our street animals.
We teach them to be compassionate to all animals, to open a 'third eye', so to say, the eye of compassion.
For this we partner with two organisations - Peedus People in Chandigarh and Help in Suffering in Jaipur.
We have trained staff who conduct these programmes in schools.
Contact us if you'd like your school to benefit from this Programme.
We guide for rescue and medical treatment. We also provide legal guidance and support.
Rajasthan, especially Jaipur has many horses, but a lack of awareness of their rights, our duties, and knowledge of the right way to take care of them.
This results in cruelty towards them.
We provide education to horse caregivers on how to be compassionate and reduce their suffering, thereby enhancing their health and longevity.
